Straight answers, in plain English. No question here will trigger a sales call — that's a promise built into how this works.
No — never. This process was built for people who want coverage without a sales conversation. You take a short quiz, get matched, and apply on the insurance carrier's own secure website. The only contact you'll ever receive is email you asked for (reminders, updates, and education), and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Usually not. Most products we match people to use "simplified" or "accelerated" underwriting: health questions, prescription and records checks, and sometimes a phone interview — instead of a nurse visit with blood and urine samples. Guaranteed-issue products skip health questions entirely. The carrier decides what it needs for your specific application, and if an exam is ever required, the carrier will tell you directly during its process.
It depends on the product. Fully digital term applications for healthy applicants can return a decision in as little as a day or two; simplified-issue final expense often decides within days; fully underwritten policies can take a few weeks if records are requested. Your coverage is in force once the carrier approves your application and your first payment is made — the carrier's confirmation is what counts, and it will state your exact effective date.
Yes. The health questions in our quiz are answered and matched entirely inside your browser — they are never stored on a server, never emailed, and never shared with anyone, including us. When you click through to apply, you enter your information directly on the insurance carrier's secure application, and that carrier's privacy policy governs what you give them. We think this is how it should work: your health details belong to you and the insurer you choose — nobody in between.
Community Solutions Financial LLC is a licensed insurance agency based in Collingdale, Pennsylvania. The practice serves clients in four areas: accounting and bookkeeping, tax planning and preparation, financial advising and planning, and estate planning. This website is our no-pressure way to help people get life insurance in place — you do the applying, we do the matching and the education.
We match applicants to products from nine established carriers: National Life Group, United Home Life, Mutual of Omaha, Pan-American Life, F&G, Lincoln Financial, Foresters Financial, Corebridge Financial, and Assurity Life. Different carriers are strong at different things — one may be best for final expenses, another for large term policies, another for building cash value or for benefits you can use while you're living — which is exactly why the matching step exists.
The insurance carrier — always and only. Our quiz produces an educational estimate of your likely best fit based on the answers you give. It is not an approval, a quote, or a guarantee. After you apply, the carrier reviews your application (and, depending on the product, your health history and records) and makes the final decision on approval and your actual rate.
For traditionally underwritten products, yes — a carrier can decline, postpone, or offer a higher rate. That's precisely why the quiz asks a few health questions first: it steers you away from products you're unlikely to get and toward the ones built for your situation. And if your health history is complicated, the quiz will route you to a guaranteed-issue option, where acceptance is guaranteed regardless of health — those policies have no health questions at all. One honest note: a decline on one application doesn't stop you from applying for a different type of product, and guaranteed-issue exists as the backstop.
Common — and worth a second look. Employer group coverage usually ends when you leave the job, and the amount (often 1× your salary) is frequently less than a family actually needs. A policy you own yourself stays with you regardless of employment. Many people keep an existing policy and add a layer for a specific job — mortgage protection during the loan years, for example. Never cancel an existing policy until any new coverage is approved and in force.
A practical starting point most planners use: add up (1) the debts you'd want gone — mortgage, loans, final expenses; (2) the income your family would need replaced, often estimated at 10–15 times your annual income for term coverage; and (3) future goals like children's education. Then subtract what you already have in savings and existing coverage. Final expense policies are much smaller by design — typically $5,000–$40,000 to cover funeral and end-of-life costs. There's no single right number; the quiz's amount question just needs your best ballpark, and you can fine-tune the exact figure inside the carrier's application.
No. The quiz and the match are free, with no obligation. You only pay anything if you choose to apply and a carrier approves you — your premium goes directly to the carrier, at the rate the carrier sets. Community Solutions Financial is compensated by the carriers as your agency of record; that never changes the price you pay.
The carrier takes it from there: it reviews your application, may verify records or (for some products) ask follow-up questions directly, and then issues a decision. If approved, you'll get your policy documents and payment instructions from the carrier. We'll also send a short "what happens next" email so you know the typical timeline — and if anything about the process confuses you, the fastest answers are right here in this FAQ.
